Angled

angled per fess

A line of partition, ordinary, or bearing, the straight outline of which is turned aside, in a different direction.

When the cut is made to form a square angle, the term is rectangled, although angled and rectangled are now generally interchangeable.

When the line is cut off by another line, which makes an acute or sharp cornered angle, inclining to a triangular form, it is termed bevilled or, less commonly, acute angled.

When the field is parted per fess rectangled, as illustrated, it is blazoned angled per fess, or if acute angled, bevilled per fess.
