Chapé
(Fr.)
Chapé Chapé-ployé
The reverse of chaussé; a shield divided by two diagonal lines each starting from the middle chief point and ending one to the dexter base point and the other to the sinister base point, somewhat similar to the pile reversed. When the diagonal lines are curved, the term used is chapé-ployé or tiercé in mantle.
