United Kingdom (The Royal Arms)

The arms of empires, kingdoms, principalities and other states, officially used by the ruler de facto. Occasionally the arms of dominion were those of an early sovereign or governor. Worthy of note in this context are the arms of the United States of America. The Stars and Stripes had their origin in the coat of arms of the first President, George Washington, whose English ancestors bore argent, two bars gules, in chief three mullets of the second.
