Incensed

Descriptive of  the colour of the animal's eyes or representing fire proceeding from the mouths and ears of animals as blazoned on the arms of the Dyers Company. The French terms allumé and animé are more normally used to describe the colour of animal's eyes or, alternatively, the flames issuant from a stake or a grenade.

Arms of the Worshipful Company of Dyers:

Sa a chevron engrailed arg between threebags of madder of the second corded or;

Crest: Upon a helm on a wreath of the colours, a grain tree ppr;

Supporters: On either side a panther ppr incensed gules crowned or and semée of roundels gu, az, vert, purp and sa;

Motto: Da Gloriam Deo
