Man’s Head

Variously represented  affronté, in profile, etc.

Note: When a man’s head is mentioned in the blazon of coat armour, or by way of Crest, that of an old man with a beard is always to be understood as the one meant, unless otherwise expressed.

Man’s head, affronté, couped at the shoulder, on the head two short horns.

This in blazon is generally termed a Whittal’s head, that is, a cuckold’s head.

a satyr’s head.

Man’s head, in profile, with small dragon’s wings on its side of it, couped at the neck. This is called a Satan’s or fiend’s head.
