Pall
A subordinary variant (considered an ordinary by some authors), probably derived from the pallium, or ecclesiastical vestment in the form of the letter Y. It consists of half a pale issuing from the base, and conjoined in the fess point with half a saltire from the dexter chief and sinister chief. Also termed pairle and shakefork. See Subordinary
