Rempli

Arg a chief az rempli

In French heraldry, rempli describes a  charge that is voided but filled with a tincture other than that of the field, and is therefore no different from the English term Bordered.

By some English authors rempli is taken to apply particularly to a chief when filled with any tincture leaving only a border round the chief of the first, which is then called a chief rempli.
