Tines, Tynes

                 The branches of the deer's antlers or attires which are given distinctive names by heralds which may vary according to whether they belong to a Red Deer, Fallow Deer or Roebuck, as follow:

Beam - The main stem of the antler.

Brow-tine - The branch of the antler closest to the skull .

Bez-tine, bezantler, bezantlier - The second branch. or

Trez-tine or Royal antler - The third branch that shoots out from the rear or main horn above the bezantlier.

Speller - By some synonymous with Royal antler and by others with Advancers.

Advancers and  Sur-royal - The upper branches of the antlers.

Note: The broad part at the top of the buck’s antlers is called the palm.
