Verdé, Verdoy
Az a wyvern erect contourné or, in a bordure of the same verdoy of 14 leaves ppr
A bordure charged with plants is termed a bordure verdoy of trefoils, cinquefoils, etc. It is better understood by mentioning the number of the charges as, for example, a border sa charged with eight trefoils or. It is indeed a rule in heraldry that, when bordures are charged with items of this nature, that number stated, and no more, should be placed upon it.
It is worth reminding that, in impalements of two coats, where either of them happens to have a bordure, such bordure is omitted where the two coats unite and, in such case, the number of charges is reduced proportionally.
